Abstract: The inherent complexity of real-time systems has increased the
need for structured development tools. A CASE tool named FASTER (a
FAst STate machine ExecutoR) will be introduced. FASTER may be used
to model, simulate and verify state machines. An introduction to state
machines and a complete description of FASTER will be presented.
