Got the latest Friday Nov 16 from Filezilla and found that it works fine with "default" host setting, but not with "VMS" host setting. This is against Multinet server. I don't think my earlier versions have a host type setting. If they do, I haven't used it. ------------------------------ Date: 19 Nov 2007 07:46:35 -0600 From: koehler@eisner.nospam.encompasserve.org (Bob Koehler) Subject: Re: Filezilla connection Message-ID: In article <1cbe3$473f4f11$cef8887a$29441@TEKSAVVY.COM>, JF Mezei writes: > VAXman- @SendSpamHere.ORG wrote: >> This tends to ONLY work if the ftp server uses (presents) unix style file >> and directory naming syntax. I've tried that with Multinet's FTP server in and out of unix-emulation mode. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Nov 2007 13:35:12 +0000 (UTC) From: david20@alpha2.mdx.ac.uk Subject: ftp.itrc.hp.com ftp server shutdown Message-ID: Any idea why the ftp.itrc.com ftp server is shutdown and how long it is likely to be down for ? I've had a number of long time Wintel folks recently tell me about getting an Intel Mac, set it up parallel boot Windows, and how great it was to be able to switch from MacOS to Windows and back with a couple keys. A few weeks later, and its "Windows is out the window." for them. Sigh; too bad they can't dual-boot VMS. I'm going to have to find time to show them SIMH. ------------------------------ Date: 19 Nov 2007 06:48:52 -0600 From: Kilgallen@SpamCop.net (Larry Kilgallen) Subject: Re: OpenVMS Blades Webcast Message-ID: In article <4740FE8E.A82B802F@spam.comcast.net>, David J Dachtera writes: > Sue wrote: >> [snip] >> The HP group sponsering this is not familiar with the VMS community so >> they are a little suprised with the amount of people that are >> registered. Linux would probably be the best source of information to write such drivers together with other wireless control programs (see Linux wireless-tools, wireless-extensions, wpa_supplicant and 802.1x ). TCPIP would pretty much be required since I doubt if any Access Points know anything about DECNET. Once that was all in place you could then start porting other wireless programs such as Kismet.
